On this February day, Ukraine worthily commemorates its compatriots - combatants in the territories of other states.
You, serving in hot spots, were risking your health and lives every minute for the sake of lives and freedom of others. Your dignity, heroism and devotion to military and civil duty are a good example to follow.
Last year our cloudless sky was covered with black smoke of war. Many of you and also thousands of the best sons and daughters of Ukraine, brought up following your heroic feats, consciously stood up for defence of the Homeland.
Today you are in the centre of attention of Ukrainian society. We are proud of you - you are real men, soldiers and officers who help our country to withstand in this difficult time.
I thank every one of you for patriotism, nobility and your best military traditions; I wish all of you Cossack health, God's protection, personal happiness and unshakable faith in our Victory.
